PDT Work Summary
Work accomplished in the PDT meetings to date:
June 26, 2008 – reviewed revised draft environmental justice analysis and preferred method for submitting comments on Preliminary Draft EIS; presented information on Wake County’s Harris Lake Drainage Basin Study; updated PDT on status of investigation of potential discharge of effluent at Harris Lake; presented status of revisions to final site evaluation data for existing conditions, temporary impacts, and permanent impacts; reviewed comments on draft secondary and cumulative impacts analysis; reviewed revised draft environmental justice analysis; and discussed process for submitting Preliminary Draft EIS to PDT.
May 29, 2008 – presented final site evaluation data, revised draft secondary and cumulative impacts analysis, and revised draft environmental justice analysis; updated PDT on status of investigation of potential discharge of effluent at Harris Lake; presented final site evaluation data for existing conditions, temporary impacts, and permanent impacts; reviewed revised draft secondary and cumulative impacts analysis; reported on USACE/USEPA meeting with New Hill Community on May 21, 2008; and reviewed revised draft environmental justice analysis.
April 24, 2008 – presented revised draft description of criteria to be used for final evaluations, updated PDT on potential discharge of effluent at Harris Lake, discussed status of final site evaluation field work and evaluations, discussed draft criteria to be used for final evaluations, reviewed draft secondary and cumulative impacts analysis, and reviewed draft environmental justice analysis.
March 27, 2008 – presented final change on site selection criteria and process, updated PDT on potential discharge to Harris Lake, provided information on detailed site evaluations, and presented environmental justice data.
February 28, 2008 – presented updated description of site selection criteria and process, indicated that Partners were working with Progress Energy and DWQ on potential discharge location to Harris Lake, and described discharge structure alternatives.
October 25, 2007 – presented results of intermediate WRF site screening criteria, identified WRF sites for detailed evaluation, and reviewed description if initial site screening process.
November 29, 2007 – identified WRF sites for final evaluation, reviewed process for evaluation of final WRF sites for evaluation, and presented draft EIS outline.
September 27, 2007 – finalized discussion on wastewater management options, discussed draft table of initial and intermediate WRF site screening criteria, and presented results of initial WRF site screening.
August 23, 2007 – presented revised wastewater management options, proposed analytical framework for identifying alternative WRF sites, presented work plan, discussed final discharge location, and finalized scope of Analysis table.
July 26, 2007 – finalized Purpose and Need and Plan of Study, revised Scope of Analysis table and maps, presented process for identifying discharge location, and presented draft wastewater management options.
June 28, 2007 – reviewed revised Purpose and Need, revised Plan of Study, and discussed draft Scope of Analysis table.
May 31, 2007 – reviewed NEPA process, role of PDT, draft Plan of Study, draft Purpose and Need, and presented history of project.
